Welcome, y’all!

So in case y’all didn’t know this about me, when I set my mind on something, I spend many late nights doing said task until every thing is just perfect.

I have wanted to update my website for a couple of months. I had been using Adobe Muse but there were many things that frustrated me. I wanted to do this or that and since the program was so new, it was limited in capabilities. I also used blogger for my blog and I didn’t like the fact that they were not integrated in the same website or same design.

Two weeks ago I began researching new website designs. I cannot tell you how many other amazing photographer websites I visited that I was trying to get inspiration from. Maybe 50-100? I loved looking at how they laid out their content, how their brand was cohesively conveyed, and of course, what made me want to keep clicking! A common theme among most of the sites was ProPhoto! I would say that roughly 80-85% of those sites that I looked at used ProPhoto templates for their sites. I have known about ProPhoto for a while, researched it, and did absolutely nothing. Until two weeks ago…

Now here I am introducing my newly designed fancy-schmancy website. Yes, after a week of hemming-and-hawing, I took the plunge and purchased ProPhoto for WordPress. I found a design theme that I loved and purchased it since I didn’t particularly like any of the included themes available. Let me tell y’all, it was SO easy. It takes a bit learning where everything you can customized is but once I mastered that, I was whipping out new pages and content super quick! If I had any questions, their video tutorials they have are so helpful. I created this whole website in a week! Just last night, my moma was clicking through the whole website checking for typos and anything that didn’t make sense (she was literally clicking all over the place) and I was able to easily follow along and make the corrections with no problem. Easy peezy!

But wait, I have not only customized all of my website to match my modern black/white/gold brand, I have also restructured all of my packages.

As my business has grown, I feel like the direction that I am going in has changed for the better! I have listened to many of my clients’ feedback and have tried to create a package and product that is just perfect. Instead of being a purely “shoot-and-burn” photographer, I have now crafted new packages that include both digital images and high quality, professional products.

All in all, this is such a exciting and much awaited moment for me!
