Kind Words

 Kind words…

“Sami is an outstanding photographer and newborn wrangler! She handled 3 sleep deprived adults and sleepy newborn with kindness and poise. Sami did not mind the inconveniences of working with a newborn (lots of poops, eating breaks, ect) and even drove me to heat up a bottle of breast milk when I needed. During the shoot, all of our requests were taken into account, from our desire to include our (very large) dog, to our personal style and tastes. We had photos taken both for sentimental value and for a birth announcement in Georgia Tech’s alumni magazine; I highly recommend Sami for an Alum photo-shoot because she was able to coordinate the Tech theme with our son without it seeming gimmicky. Our photos turned out lovely with great warmth and color! Overall, this was a great experience for my family and me.”

Andrea

“Sami did my [son’s] newborn photography! She was very nice and easy to be around. I loved the pictures she took and will forever be grateful for them!! I wish she lived closer to do all of his photos.”

Maradee

“Sami’s work absolutely brought the HAPPIEST tears to our eyes!  Despite the obstacles of heat, gnats, and a cranky twonager and threenager, these pictures show what my little family is made of – smiles, hugs, kisses and lots of LOVE!  Sami, you have a God given talent and we cannot wait to use it to the fullest over and over as our kids continue to grow!!  Our hearts are swollen with emotion and we cannot stop looking at them!  Thank you over and over!  :)”

Peter + Kelly

“I don’t have much experience in hiring photographers but since meeting Sami the bar is set extremely high! Sami is fair priced, accommodating, knowledgeable in her profession and above all, patient!! Sami did the newborn photos for my daughter and her 6 months and all I can say is that I can’t wait for her 1 year pictures! Sami really catches some breath taking images that can be cherished forever. Highly recommend!”

Nancy

“Sami is amazing at what she does. She made my wedding day very relaxed and low-stress. I would give her 5+++ stars. I’m grateful of our new relationship & can’t wait to work with her in the future. Xoxo”

Hannah

“Sami is everything one wants in a photographer. Not only is her photography phenomenal, the personal touch she brings to a session puts her a notch above the rest. After huge wedding changes, Sami not only accommodated my needs, she brought back the “wedding day” feel. She is focused on capturing what YOU want in a session and more importantly who you are.”

Holly

“Sami was a pleasure to work with. I can’t say enough great things about her! She takes the time to get to know your family, learn quickly what makes your kids smile big, and just right from the beginning make you feel as comfortable as can be. In addition to the classic portraits, she gets those “shots” that everyone dreams of – the ones that capture the moment, the emotion, and preserves everything about that memory in a single frame. Sami, you are truly the best! Always very genuine, pleasant, sweet, and helpful.”

Kandi

“Sami’s energy makes you feel comfortable and in your own element. She did our wedding and sweet surprise newlywed photos. Moments were captured that I will forever hold dear to my heart. I could write paragraphs about our experience with her! After all of that, the photos are jaw dropping and raw with emotion. Sami is so much more than just a photographer… She is wonderful. Nothing but love. :).”

Sitting in a little public park listening to the s Sitting in a little public park listening to the soothing sounds of the fountain’s water streams. Walking the neighborhoods and hearing the coastal winds whisper through the Spanish most laden limbs as well as the soft tinkle of the wind chimes on someone’s back porch next to the salty smelling marsh. More ambient noise such the birds chirping and someone doing yard work. Offering smiles and good mornings to the locals. Inhaling the fragrant jasmine in bloom everywhere. Eating the best grits I have ever had in my life while sipping piping hot creamy coffee. Feeling the breeze bite my face a little and whip my hair around in the 60 degree morning air. Swinging on the bed swing on the front porch and reading many books.

Life is slow and easy in Beaufort and this was a much needed easy-going, laidback solo vacation.
“Seventy Times Seven” by Alex Mar is fascinati “Seventy Times Seven” by Alex Mar is fascinating non-fiction book about a 15 year old that was sentenced to death row for a brutal murder. She committed the murder. She admitted her guilt.

This book was gripping from the very beginning. Although it does delve into the murder of Ruth Pelke, it is much more than that. It explores mercy, the death penalty being punishment for minors, and whether someone who is inherently guilty can ever rehabilitate and live their life.

When Paula, the one who committed the murder, asked a friar that came to visit her on death row, "Do you think that God can forgive me?"

The man responds: "Even if men cannot forgive you, God is much better than them."

Day ✌🏻was exhausting and fulfilling and every Day ✌🏻was exhausting and fulfilling and everything it should have been. We avoided major weather like a miracle.

Also, like mother, like daughter. Loved that I got to wear my Moma’s “vintage” FAF chambray shirt that she had from 2004. It’s a family tradition, after all. #FireAntFestival
