In life, we are given those people who are meant to change your life – whether it is for good or for bad. I have been so incredibly lucky to have two sisters that have changed my life for good – who support me in all of my endeavors, deal with my weirdness, and give me precious babies to snuggle and love. In more ways than most, they are my best friends and who I text or call every day, see or facetime almost every other day, and who I share all of my news with – good or bad.
So when I get the option to give them something in return for all of the love, support, much-needed criticisms (read that as advice!), I definitely go above and beyond when I can.
My eldest sister, Sarah, whose family has been my guinea pigs since I started this photography dream 5 years, is having a sweet precious girl at the beginning of May. Sweet Georgia Lou! I practically giddy with anticipation waiting for a girl to join our family in a few short weeks. I have three nephews so this is so exciting in so many ways.
It seemed appropriate that my sweet little “Georgia” peach niece have a peach blossom maternity session. (My middle sister Suzi also had a peach blossom maternity session 2 years ago with me…)
On a very blustery March afternoon, I hopped in the car with Sarah, Justin, and Wyatt and we made the trek to peach country in middle Georgia. Our destination was Dickey Farms in Musella, Georgia. Sarah is lucky enough to have so many wonderful connections with her job at UGA and the owners were gracious enough to let us use their gorgeous orchard for Sarah’s photos.
Although the session was a short 20 minutes long and we all were a bit freezing, this session just means so much to me. I hope when Georgia grows up, she will look back fondly on these images and know how much she is loved by all of those who surround her and maybe we can return to this location one day.
PS.
Did you know I am willing to travel to so many epic locations?! All you need to pay is a travel fee and I will meet you wherever you wish for photos. We all want those photos to be gorgeous – think outside of the box!
